My Mother
My mother came up to Utah for a short visit early July. I got to spend a day at our family cabin with her and it was wonderful. She surprised me with a late birthday present, the "Life: Classic Collection Book". I got to spend hours looking through, studying, reading and more over being simply inspired. What a great gift. It was such a beautiful and peaceful place to be inspired and just think. Mom and I explored the woods, where we were able to discuss how we would survive in a bear attack, I got to teach her a thing or two about photography, and then I got to take a few shots. She may not like them, her face bare, hair undone, and "unflattering" (as she would say) clothing. But I think she looks beautiful.

Flattering to be included on such a wonderful blog of such a talented photographer, but I can't help myself. When I see these photos, the first thought in my head is, "Ugh!"
